Aged 17, born into a family of 9 children, from different fathers, of which I am the youngest. In the absence of my father, having himself fled his responsibilities, my mother fought alone thanks to the rural activity by giving us the minimum (nutrition/school, medication).
With 9 children in her care, it was not easy for her to support us in the long term. I had to drop out of school after obtaining my CEP (Primary School Certificate). Naive and unconscious, I gave in to the temptation of getting into a relationship with a man older than me, who made me believe that he was single without children. Hence the result of a pregnancy, and when I announced this to the father, I discovered that he was actually living with the mother of his two children and had shied away from his responsibilities regarding my pregnancy. My mother could not bear and manage this due to lack of financial means, so I returned to my older sister in Yaoundé who works in bars. And from there I started a little training in hairdressing, due to lack of money I had to stop. It was with the help of the Dr Gnipieven TEKOMBO Medical Center and the Ado Matter project, CONSULTATION that I did my prenatal exams and visits for the first time when I discovered the embryo in me. I want to take responsibility for my pregnancy and if it is not possible, I will be forced to return to the village
